Washington, D.C.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team turned in a dominating effort at a triangular meet hosted by the Bison of Gallaudet University on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Tigers defeated the host Bison by a 165.50-103.50 margin and defeated The Express of Wells College by a score of 130-98. With the wins the Fighting Tigers close out the semester with a 4-3-1 record versus head-to-head competition.
Cobleskill won seven events at the meet lead by freshman
Emily Sugrue, Long Island City, N.Y., The Renaissance Charter School, who won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:15.69, the 50-yard freestyle in 26.80 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.49 while sophomore
Danielle Hoyt, Wolcott, N.Y., North Rose-Wolcott High School, captured the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:20.98 and 200-yard breaststroke 2:57.76.
The Orange & Black will return to action on Saturday January 16
th when they host Utica College at the Bouck Hall Natatorium beginning at 1:00 p.m.
