Buffalo, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team dropped a 6-5 road decision to Medaille College on Saturday afternoon in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opener for both teams. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 2-4 overall including a 0-1 mark in conference play while the Mavericks improve to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in league action.
Trailing 6-0 with 7:29 left to play in the fourth period, Cobleskill rallied for five goals to cut the lead to 6-5 with 1:46 left in regulation. But that was as close as the visitors would get as the Mavericks defense held on to claim the low scoring victory.

Kyle Magdziuk, Syracuse, N.Y., Westhill High School, turned in a strong effort in defeat for the Fighting Tigers scoring a pair of goals to go with an assist, seven assists while winning 12-of-15 face-off attempts on the afternoon. Freshman midfielder
Anthony Yevoli, Amsterdam, N.Y., Amsterdam High School, also turned in a solid effort with a goal, an assists and four ground balls picked up on the afternoon.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Wednesday April 1 when they visit the Wildcats of Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, N.Y. for a NEAC game beginning at 4:00 p.m.
