Morrisville, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team opened the 2016 portion of their schedule in dramatic fashion as senior guard/forward Ashley Creighton, Niskayuna, N.Y., Catholic Central High School/Schenectady Community College, nailed a game tying three-point field goal with 30 seconds remaining in regulation and junior forward Shelby Preston, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, converted on a crucial free throw with seven seconds left in overtime to give the visiting Fighting Tigers a 45-44 overtime win over host Morrisville State College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

The victory improves Cobleskill to 3-5 overall on the campaign including a 2-1 mark in NEAC play while the Mustangs fall to 5-5 overall including a 1-2 conference record.

Shelby Preston was a rebounding machine for the visitors in the victory grabbing a season high of 27 rebounds to go with 12 points on the afternoon while Ashley Creighton posted a team high of 16 points to go with three assists on the day.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Wednesday January 13^th when they travel to Marcy, N.Y. to face the Wildcats of SUNY Polytechnic Institute in NEAC action with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
