Cazenovia, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team opened the 2017 portion of their schedule on Saturday afternoon by dropping a 164-112 decision to the host Wildcats of Cazenovia College. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 3-6 overall on the season against head-to-head competition.
The Fighting Tigers were led by junior
Danielle Hoyt, Wolcott, N.Y., North Rose-Wolcott High School, who posted individual wins in the 50-yard breaststroke in 34.92 seconds, the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:17.41 and the 100-yard individual medley in a program record time of 1:11.56.
Cobleskill also received a multiple win effort from sophomore
Emily Sugrue, Long Island City, N.Y. / The Renaissance Charter School, captured the 200-yard freestyle in 2:17.65, the 100-yard butterfly in 1:09.88, the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.79 and the 50-yard butterfly in 30.96.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Tuesday January 17
th when they host Elms College at the Bouck Hall Natatorium beginning at 4:00 p.m.
