Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team battled the visiting Blazers of Elms College to a 122-122 tie to close out the home portion of their schedule at the Bouck Hall Natatorium on Tuesday afternoon. The tie moves the Fighting Tigers overall record to 3-6-1 versus head-to-head competition on the year.

The Fighting Tigers received multiple event wins from: sophomore Emily Sugrue, Long Island City, N.Y. , The Renaissance Charter School, in the 50-yard backstroke in 31.18 seconds, the 100-yard freestyle in 59.41seconds and the 50-yard butterfly in 30.58 seconds, from  junior Danielle Hoyt, Wolcott, N.Y., North Rose-Walcott High School, in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:10.02 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:49.38, and from senior Mackenzie Cross, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, in the 50-yard breaststroke in 36.07 seconds and the 50-yard freestyle in 27.96 seconds.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Saturday January 28^th when they travel to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. to compete in the 2017 Skidmore Sprint Invitational hosted by Skidmore College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
