Hamilton, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's indoor track & field team posted a team total of 44.50 points to place ninth in an 11 team field at the Class of '32 Meet hosted by Colgate University on Saturday at the Raiders Sanford Field House.
The Fighting Tigers were led by freshman thrower
Thomas Coene, Ontario, N.Y., Thomas Webster High School, was the team's top finisher taking second overall in the 35 lbs. weight throw with a mark of 45' 11 ¼" and by junior middle distance runner
Anthony Bouchard, Wantagh, N.Y., Wantagh High School, who finished third overall in the 1000-meter run in a time of 2:41.54.
The Orange & Black also received strong showings from freshman sprinter
Nino Gagliardi, Watervliet, N.Y., Watervliet High School, who placed fifth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.51 seconds and seventh in the 200-meter dash in 24.32 seconds and from junior
Joseph Fitzgerald, Washingtonville, N.Y., Washingtonville High School, who placed fifth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.24 seconds and eighth overall in the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.40 seconds.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday February 18
th when they travel to Utica, N.Y. for the Pioneer Invitational #4 hosted by Utica College hosted by Utica College at the Todd & Jenn Hutton Sports & Recreation Center beginning at 10:30 a.m.
