Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team closed out the home portion of their schedule on Saturday afternoon by dropping an 18-9 decision to visiting Bryn Athyn College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action at the soccer/lacrosse complex. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers fall to 4-9 overall including a 1-7 mark in conference action while the Lions move to 8-7 overall with a 6-2 mark versus NEAC opponents.
Once again turnovers proved costly for Cobleskill as 20 miscues led the visiting Lions to a decisive 17-7 lead after three quarters of play from which they never looked back.
Sophomore midfielder
Sean Degnan, Monroe, N.Y., Monroe-Woodbury High School, had two goals and an assist to lead the Fighting Tigers while junior attackman
Jeremy Mowrey, Johnstown, N.Y., Johnstown High School, added two goals and an assist on the afternoon. Cobleskill also received a pair of goals form freshman midfielder
Kieran Tierney, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, with junior midfielder
Kyle Magdziuk, Syracuse, N.Y., Westhill High School, adding a goal to go with a team high of 12 ground balls on the afternoon.
