Kingston, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team once again took to the road to drop a 16-6 decision to the host Raptors of Bard College in a non-league contest played at Dietz Stadium on Wednesday night. With the defeat, the Fighting Tigers move to 2-2 overall on the season while the Raptors even their record to 2-2 overall on the year.
The Fighting struggled throughout the evening on both ends of the field falling behind by a 9-2 tally at the half. Cobleskill was outshot by a 43-21 margin while committing 19 turnovers on the night. The team's defense could also clear only 9-of-18 opportunities in the loss.
Senior attackman Jeremy Mowrey, Johnstown, N.Y., Johnstown High School/Herkimer Community College, and sophomore midfielder Kiran Tierney, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, each scored two goals in the game for the Orange & Black.
Cobleskill will return to action after the college's spring break on Wednesday March 28 when they travel to Bryn Athyn, Pa. for a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest versus the Lions of Bryn Athyn College beginning at 3:00 p.m.
