Oneonta, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team traveled to Hartwick College on Saturday to compete in the 2019 Hartwick College Quint-Meet hosted by the Hawks at their Moyer Pool facility. The Fighting Tigers defeated one of four opponents at the event topping fellow North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Cazenovia College 113-94 while losing to: host Hartwick College 214-37, The College of Saint Rose 205-41 and to Utica College 120-107. After the event, Cobleskill is now 2-3 overall on the season when competing head-to-head versus opponents.
Freshman
Tori Reese, Horseheads, N.Y., Odessa-Montour High School, turned in a stellar individual effort for the Orange & Black at the event: placing third overall in the 100-yard freestyle in 59.04 seconds , fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:16.26 and sixth in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:34.08 while swimming the anchor leg of the team's fifth place 200-yard freestyle relay which posted a time of 1:57.33.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Saturday November 9
th when they host a double dual meet versus the Broncos of SUNY Delhi and the Herons of William Smith College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
