Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team closed the home portion of their 2019 season on Wednesday afternoon dropping a 17-2 decision in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play to the league leading Mustangs of Morrisville State at the Soccer/Lax Complex. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 3-9 overall including a 1-5 mark versus NEAC opponents while the Mustangs improve to 7-6 overall including a perfect 6-0 mark in conference action.
The league leading Mustangs dominated the action from the opening face-off scoring the first 17 goals of the contest to decide the issue.
Cobleskill received goals from junior midfielder
Kieran Tierney, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, and from sophomore midfielder
Ian Eckert, Rochester, N.Y., Irondequoit High School, while junior attackman/midfielder
Ed White, Utica, N.Y., Thomas R. Proctor High School, had an assist.
The Fighting Tigers will close out the 2019 season on Saturday April 30
th when travel to Hamburg, N.Y. to face the Hawks of Hilbert College at Hawk Field for a NEAC game with face-off at 3:30 p.m.
