Delhi, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's softball team extended their current winning streak to five games on Wednesday afternoon sweeping a pair of non-league contests in impressive fashion from host SUNY Delhi by scores of 8-0 and 9-1. With the wins the Fighting Tigers improve to 5-7 overall on the year while the Broncos fall to 1-5 overall on the year to date.
In the first game the Cobleskill offense slugged out 14 hits led by freshman second baseman
Alyssa Villielm, Rifton, N.Y., Kingston High School, who went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI and by sophomore designated hitter
Edyliese Aquino, Stamford, Conn., Westhill High School, who continued her torrid hitting pace going 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, a run scored and a pair of RBI. Freshman first baseman
Arielle Kranbuhl, Boonville, N.Y., Adirondack High School, was also a factor at the plate for the visitors going 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and a RBI.
Once again Fighting Tiger left hander
Rachel Hall, Greenwich, N.Y., Greenwich High School, was dominate on the mound throwing her third consecutive shutout victory by working five scoreless innings allowing six hits while striking out four and walking none.
In the nightcap the Cobleskill offense was once again potent led by second baseman
Alyssa Villielm who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored while freshman center fielder
Jillian Nitchman, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Ballston Spa High School, would go 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored. Freshman shortstop
Megan Gilligan, East Chatham, N.Y., Chatham High School, was also a factor in the win going 1-for-2 at the plate with a walk, three runs scored and a RBI.

The Fighting Tigers will return to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action over the weekend when they travel to Lancaster, Pa. to face the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College in doubleheader action on Saturday April 6
th beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed on Sunday April 7
th by a pair of conference games versus the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks in Reading, Pa. beginning at 12:00 p.m.
