Cazenovia, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lax team opened their 2019 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) season on Wednesday afternoon traveling to Cazenovia College to drop a 20-3 decision to the host Wildcats. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 2-5 overall on the year including a 0-1 record in league action while the Wildcats improve to 3-2 overall with a 1-0 record in NEAC action.

Once again the second half proved to be the undoing of the Orange & Black as the Wildcats outscored Cobleskill 16-2 after the break to run away with the win in good part due to Cazenovia controlling the face-off circle by a 13-to-5 margin while holding the visitors scoreless on eight man-up opportunities.

The Fighting Tigers received solo goals in the contest from: senior attackman Edwin Martinez, Brentwood, N.Y., Brentwood High School, junior midfielder Kieran Tierney, Marcellus, N.Y., Marcellus High School, and from senior attackman/midfielder Sean Degnan, Monroe, N.Y., Monroe-Woodbury High School, on the afternoon.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday April 6^th when they travel to Keuka Park, N.Y. for a NEAC meeting with the Wolves of Keuka College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
