Washington, D. C.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team posted an impressive 161-83 victory over the host Bison of Gallaudet University in the nation's capital on Saturday afternoon. With the win the Fighting Tigers close out the head-to-head portion of their season with a 7-5 overall record on the year.
The Fighting Tigers captured11 individual event titles and both relays to record the decisive victory led by triumvirate of: freshman
Tori Reese, Horseheads, N.Y., Odessa-Montour High School, who won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:18.79, the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:52.53 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:09.46, sophomore
Brooke Andera, Allegany, N.Y., Allegany-Limestone High School, who won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:16.91, the 50-yard freestyle 28.61 and the 100-yard freestyle in 1:01.24 and sophomore
Katherine Noncarrow, Allendale, N.J., Northern Highland Regional High School, who captured the 1000-yard freestyle in 12:10.30, the 200-yard butterfly in 2:29.29 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:58.37.
The Orange & Black also received individual event wins from sophomore
Katrina Oakes, Bombay, N.Y., Salmon River High School, who won the 200-yard individual medley in 3:13.44 and from junior
Samantha Bowker, Walton, N.Y., Walton High School, in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:21.79.
Cobleskill will next be in action when they travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Saturday February 1
st for the 2020 Vassar Sprint Invitational hosted by the Spartans at the college's Kresge Pool beginning at 1:00 p.m.
