Cobleskill, N.Y.:  As part of its continuing "Life Skills Initiative Program" the SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department will be sponsoring a Dining Etiquette Seminar for student-athletes on-line via Zoom on Monday November 9^th at 7:00 p.m. The program will be conducted by the Fighting Tigers Student-Athlete Affairs Administrator/Head Women's Soccer Coach Rosie Kays. 

According to Coach Kays, "Teaching our young men and women proper dining etiquette is a wonderful opportunity, as we want to send them forward into the world with all of the skills and knowledge so that they can put their best foot forward into today's job market. If our student-athletes can take away one small tidbit of information and use it on their first interview and land a wonderful job, we have done our job."

The format will consist of the following:

- All student-athletes will be provided a list of silverware and utensils that are used in formal and informal place settings.

- The student-athletes will then create an index card with the name of a utensil on the list and repeat until they have an index card for each item listed.

- The event will begin with each student-athlete being asked to lay out the index cards in the way that they believe is the correct table setting for a formal event.

- From there, Coach Kays will walk participants through what the correct setting looks like, so that they if needed, they can edit their initial attempt.

- Next, Coach Kays will highlight key points for them to remember when they are on a business meeting or interview at a restaurant.

- The event will conclude with a question and answer session.
