Utica, N.Y.: After nearly a two-year pandemic related hiatus, the SUNY Cobleskill women's swimming & diving team returned to action on Friday evening defeating one-of-three opponents at the season opening Utica College Quad Meet hosted by the Pioneers at their UC Pool. The Fighting Tigers defeated the Broncos of SUNY Delhi 75-51 while losing to the host Pioneers 143-45 and the Wildcats of Cazenovia College 92-77 to open the year at 1-2 versus head-to-head competition.

The Fighting Tigers received their lone victory of the meet in the 100-Yard Individual Medley from first-year team member Audrey Sliker, Southington, Conn., Southington High School, who posted a time of 1:22.86.

Senior Katherine Noncarrow, Allendale, N.J., Northern Highland Regional High School, was the team's top individual scorer at the meet taking: second in the 1000-Yard Freestyle in 12:39.39, second in the 100-Yard Butterfly in 1:11.52 and second in the 500-Yard Freestyle in 6:20.66.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday November 13 when they travel to Cazenovia, N.Y. for a triangular meet hosted by Cazenovia College including Herkimer Community College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
