The SUNY Cobleskill men's basketball posted a pre-Thanksgiving non-conference road win on Tuesday defeating the host Hawks of Hunter College in New York, N.Y. by a 120-118 margin to improve to 5-2 overall on the season. Sophomore guard JaNyve Smith, Albany, N.Y., Bishop Maginn High School, led the Fighting Tigers to the victory with a team high of 26 points to go with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals on the night.
The Fighting Tiger women's basketball team won a non-conference road contest on Tuesday evening topping the host Trailblazers of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in North Adams, Mass by a 74-52 tally to move to 3-3 overall on the year. First-year guard Talia Washington, Schenectady, N.Y., Schenectady High School, had a team high of 20 points to go with six assists and two steals in the win.
