Johnson, Vt.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team extended their current winning streak to four games on Sunday afternoon defeating the host Badgers of Northern Vermont University-Johnson (NVU-Johnson) 72-68 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action. With the victory the Fighting Tigers are now 7-5 overall and move into first place in the NAC Western Division standings with a 3-0 record in league play while the Badgers fall to 6-4 overall with a 2-2 record versus league opponents.
With the score tied at 68-68 overall with 22 seconds remaining in regulation, Fighting Tiger sophomore forward
Hannah Cater, Schoharie, N.Y., Schoharie High School, was fouled in the paint with six seconds left then sank a pair of free throws to give the visitors a 70-68 lead.
On the ensuing inbounds the Badgers lost the ball out of bounds giving Cobleskill possession. The Orange & Black inbounded the ball to Cater with two seconds left forcing NVU-Johnson to foul and sending the sophomore back to the line where she converted both free throws for the 72-68 margin of victory.
Once again, the Fighting Tigers depth played a role in the game as the Cobleskill reserves held a 29-to-7 advantage in bench points scored with 11 different players scoring for the visitors.

Talia Washington, Schenectady, N.Y., Schenectady High School, was the team's high scorer with 14 points on the afternoon to go with two steals and a pair of assists while first-year center/forward
Emily Satterday, Latham, N.Y., Shaker High School, scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Sophomore guard
Taylor Meacham, Berne, N.Y., Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School, was also a factor in the win with eight points and six rebounds.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Wednesday December 14 when they travel to Westfield, Mass. for a non-league meeting with the Owls of Westfield State University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
