Esports Weekly Recap

Cobleskill, NY: The Cobleskill Esports teams are battling it out in the SUNY esports league and the College League of Legends competition.

The Tigers esports team went 2-4 throughout the week and currently have a record of 6-13 across all games. 
 
Valorant
The Tigers matched up against Binghamton University this week. The team of Ryan Hoag (Troy, NY), Ben Kessler (East Northport, NY), Conor Flanigan (Troy, NY), Ainsley Hyland (Staten Island, NY) and Katia Santos (Hudson, Mass) dropped their match to the bearcats 2-0.  Cobleskill fell behind early in game 1 and couldn't mount a comeback, dropping the first game 13-2.  The Tigers improved in the second game but still suffered a 13-6 defeat.

Ben Kessler led the Tigers with 14 kills and Ryan Hoag had a team-high 215 average combat score against some of the highest ranked players in the game.

The Tigers are currently 1-2 on the season and they will be in action this Wednesday, March 2nd at 8:00 pm vs. SUNY Canton.
 
Call of Duty: Vanguard
Cobleskill's Call of Duty team took the win against Erie Community College due to a forfeit for the second straight week.  The team of Marc Marrone (New York, NY), Nazaire Odom (Queens. NY), Trelee Edmund (Bronx, NY) and Ajani Simpson (Springfield Gardens, NY) will be in action vs. SUNY Brockport at 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 3rd.

They are currently 2-1 on the season. 
 
Super Smash Bros.
This semester the Tigers have three separate teams competing since it's a 1v1 tournament.  James Cerny (Team C) (New Paltz, NY) was defeated 3-0 against SUNY Poly. Due to schedule conflicts, Chris Canzoneri (Team B) (Whitestone, NY) had to forfeit against Westchester Community College.  David Whinnery (Team A) (Clifton Park, NY) had to forfeit to Oneonta State 3-0.

All three teams will be in action this Thursday, March 3rd at 8:00 pm.  Team A will face off against Farmington State College, Team B vs. Schenectady County Community College and Team C vs. SUNY Empire State College.

They are currently 1-6 overall.
 
League of Legends
The Tigers are currently 2-4 on the season. Last Saturday, the team defeated Lemoyne College 2-0.  They will be in action every Saturday at 3 pm.
