Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill women's softball team closed out their regular season on Saturday by sweeping a doubleheader from the Wildcats of Cazenovia College in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action at Fighting Tiger Park by scores of 10-2 and 5-1 to capture the leagues Western Division title. With the sweep, the Fighting Tigers close the regular season with a 14-13 overall record including a 11-1 overall record versus league opponents while the Wildcats are now 14-9 overall on the year with a 4-7 overall NAC record.

Victoria Decker, Stone Ridge, N.Y., Rondout Valley High School, led the Orange & Black on the mound and in the batter's, box holding the Wildcats to one earned run on eight hits over five innings striking out two and walking one to improve to 6-8 overall on the year while at the plate going 2-for-4 with a bases clearing third inning double and four RBI.
The home team also received offensive contributions in the win from senior right fielder
Alyssa Villielm, Rifton, N.Y., Kingston High School, who went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI and from junior third baseman
Emma Duarte, Dighton, Mass., Bristol County Agricultural High School, who was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBI.
In the nightcap the Fighting Tiger graduating class closed out their final appearance at home in style erasing a 1-0 Wildcat advantage by scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth then tallying three runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure the victory,
Senior second baseman
Aubrie Marx, Rotterdam, N.Y., Mohanasen High School, delivered the contest's big blow, a fourth inning two out double as part of a 1-for-3 effort. Sophomore left fielder
Abigail Scheurich, Oxford, Conn, Nonnewaug High School, played a big role in the win going 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored with senior shortstop
Maya Davies, Binghamton, N.Y., Chenango Valley High School/Onondaga Community College, going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
Sophomore pitcher
Marissa Wheeler, Kinderhook, N.Y., Ichabod Crane High School, held Cazenovia in check after the first inning holding the visitors to one run while striking out six over seven innings to improve her overall record to 7-4 on the season.

As the NAC Western Division champions, the Fighting Tigers will now await the pairings and dates for the NAC championship tournament to be hosted by the league's Eastern Division championship team.
