Cobleskill, NY: The Fighting Tigers esports team have kicked off their 2023 spring season. In this season, they are competing in the highly competitive SUNY League and ECAC League.
This spring, the Tigers are fielding teams in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, FIFA 23, NBA2k23, Overwatch 2, Valorant and League of Legends.
SUNY League
The Valorant team of
Ryan Hoag (Troy, NY),
Ben Kessler (East Northport, NY),
Conor Flanigan (Troy, NY),
Michael Agati (Pleasantville, NY) and
Micky Polsinelli (Rotterdam, NY) have had a strong start to their season in the SUNY League. They are currently sitting at 2-1 overall. They fell to SUNY Canton in week one before going unbeaten in week two and three against NCCC and SUNY Canton.
There are 20 teams competing in Valorant in the SUNY League this season. The Tigers will be in action next Wednesday, February 22
nd at 7 pm.
In Call of Duty, the team of
Nazaire Odom (Queens, NY),
Trelee Edmund (Bronx, NY),
Ajani Simpson (Queens, NY) and
Joseph Wash (Brooklyn, NY) have started 0-1 after falling to defending champions Farmingdale State in their first match of the season.
There are 9 teams competing in Call of Duty in the SUNY League. The Tigers match up with SUNY Esports Free Agents Thursday, February 16

The Tigers Super Smash Bros. Ultimate teams of
James Cerny (New Paltz, NY) and
Matthew Nikolaus (Middleburgh, NY) are off and fighting in the early part of the spring season. Both Cerny and Nikolaus have started out 1-1 in league action. Cerny fell to SUNY Poly in the first week of play and then defeated Farmingdale State in week two. Nikolaus dropped a close game to Buffalo State in week one but turned it around in week two as he shutout SUNY Brockport 3-0.
There are 50 teams competing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate this season. They compete every Thursday night at 8 pm!
ECAC
Both of the Tigers FIFA23 teams of
Derek Streeter (Ilion, NY) and
Saro Karageozian (Colonie, NY) have started 2-1 in the ECAC League. Streeter fell to Old Dominion University in week one before going on a two-game win streak that saw him defeat University of South Carolina – Aiken and Saint Peter's University. Karageozian started out the season with a pair of shutout wins over University of South Carolina – Aiken and King University before falling to a tough opponent in Elmira College in week three.
There are 127 players competing in FIFA23 in the ECAC League this season. The Tigers compete in FIFA23 every Monday night at 8 pm.
In Call of Duty, the same team of

Ajani Simpson (Springfield Gardens, NY) and
Joseph Wash (Brooklyn, NY) have started 1-0 after dominating University of Southern Maine 3-0 in their first match of the season.
There are 43 teams competing in Call of Duty in the ECAC League. The Tigers match up with Juniata College, February 17
th at 8 pm.
The Fighting Tigers are excited to welcome back Overwatch after taking a few seasons off. The team of

Faith Montie (Ashland, NY),
Lucas Williams (Brooklyn, NY),
Kip Brownstein (Cohoes, NY),
Eddie Lopez (West Haverstraw, NY) and
Ajani Simpson (Queens, NY) have had a rough start to the season. They are currently 0-3 after facing tough opponents in Sacred Heart University, Southwestern Assemblies of God University and Medaille College.
The Tigers are competing in Division C of the ECAC League. Division C has 49 teams in competition and matches are every Wednesday night at 8 pm.
The Tigers are excited to have their first NBA2K23 player in
Joseph Wash (Brooklyn, NY). So far this season, Wash has faced Elmira College and two different teams from Neumann University. He currently sits at 0-3 in ECAC action.
There are 29 teams in competition this ECAC season and every game is on Tuesday night at 9 pm.
