Delhi, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team opened their 2023 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) season on Saturday by traveling to SUNY Delhi after having their previous two games cancelled to drop a 19-5 decision to the host Broncos. With the loss the Fighting Tigers fall to 2-1 overall on the year including a 0-1 mark in conference action while Delhi improves to 3-5 overall on the year with a 2-0 mark in conference play.
Cobleskill came out as cold as the upstate New York weather falling behind 10-2 at the half to their hosts as the Broncos held a 52-33 advantage in the shots department while forcing the visitors into 29 turnovers on the afternoon.
The Fighting Tigers received a strong offensive effort from junior attackman
Sean D'Amaro, Northport, N.Y., Northport High School, who scored four goals to go with an assist while fellow junior attackman
Gregory Neumann, Accord, N.Y., Rondout Valley High School, scored a goal and picked up three ground balls on the day.
Cobleskill will return to action on Wednesday March 29 when they travel to Buffalo, N.Y., to meet the Mavericks of Medaille College at the Medaille Sports Complex at Buffalo Color Park with face-off at 4:00 p.m.
