Clinton, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's track & field team opened their 2023 outdoor season on Saturday by competing at the 2023 Hamilton College Continental Invitational hosted by Hamilton College at the college's Pritchard Track. The Fighting Tigers brought home a number of impressive efforts from the non-scoring qualifying event.
Cobleskill received a pair of strong showings on the track in the 5000 meter run from junior
Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, who finished in third place overall in a time of 15:54.20 and from first-year
Nik Recore, Peru, N.Y., Peru High School, who placed sixth in a time of 17:05.53. First-year sprinter/hurdler
Charlie Foote, Cobleskill, N.Y., Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, also turned in a strong effort in the 400 meter hurdles finishing third overall in a time of 1:00.08.
First-year multi-event performer
Kameron Cusmano, Oakfield, N.Y., Oakfield-Alabama High School, was solid both in the field where he finished ninth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 37'5 ¾" and on the track with a 12
th place finish in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 17.33 seconds.
In the relays Cobleskill received a fourth place finish in the 400 meter relay where the team of sophomore
Michael Masocco, Eden, N.Y., Eden High School,
Kameron Cusmano, first-year
Jeremy Rosario, Colonie, N.Y., Colonie High School, and
Charlie Foote posted a time of 45.03 seconds.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Saturday April 8 when they are scheduled to compete at the 2023 Cortland Red Dragon Open Invitational hosted by SUNY Cortland in Cortland, N.Y. beginning at 10:00 a.m.
