Cortland, N.Y.: In preparation for their upcoming 2023 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships the SUNY Cobleskill women's outdoor track & field team competed at the 2023 Cortland Classic hosted over the weekend by the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons.
Cobleskill received a number of solid efforts at the event highlighted by first-year multi-event athlete
Lilly Swyers, Peru, N.Y., Peru High School, who place third in the 100-Meter Hurdles with a time of 17.26 seconds and fourth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 33'10.75" and by sophomore multi-event athlete
Hayleigh Girard, Hudson Falls, N.Y., Hudson Falls High School, who finished third in the Heptathlon with a score of 2869 points. First-year multi-event athlete
Jessica Carney, Hopkinton, N.H., Hopkinton High School, also turned in a strong effort in the Javelin placing fifth overall with a toss of 90'11".
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action when they travel to Waterville, Maine for the 2023 NAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships to be hosted by Thomas College, Husson University and the University of Maine-Farmington at Colby College's Alfond Track on Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29.
