Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman Thomas Herberger, Avoca, N.Y., Avoca High School, a member of the men's indoor track & field team has been named the athletic program's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending January 21, 2024.
 
The freshman jumper was the team's top finisher on Friday at the 2024 Hamilton College Indoor Invitational hosted by the Continentals at their Margaret Bundy Scott Fieldhouse in Clinton, N.Y. At the non-scoring event Herberger turned in the Fighting Tigers top individual effort winning the triple jump with a mark of 41'8 ¾" and the high jump by clearing 5'9 ¾".
 
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday January 27 when they travel to Utica, N.Y. to compete in the 2024 Pioneer Open Invitational & Multi-Event Meet hosted by the Pioneers of Utica College at the Todd and Jenn Hutton Sports & Recreation Center beginning at 10:00 a.m.
