Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that first-year Julia Aiello, Carmel, N.Y., Carmel High School, a member of the women's indoor track & field team has been named the athletic program's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending January 28, 2024.
 
The first-year sprinter was the team's top finisher on Saturday at the 2024 Pioneer Open Invitational & Multi-Event Meet hosted by Utica College at the Pioneers' Todd and Jenn Hutton Sports & Multi-Event Meet in Utica, N.Y. Aiello paced the team to a sixth place finish in an 18-team field at event placing second in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:01.50 to go with a fifth place finish in the 200-meter dash 27.19 seconds.
 
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday February 3 when they return to Utica, N.Y. to compete in the 2024 Pioneer Fast Trax Invite hosted by Utica College at the Todd and Jenn Hutton Sports & Recreation Center beginning at 10:00 a.m.
