Melbourne, Fla.: The SUNY Cobleskill softball team opened their 2024 season on Monday afternoon by dropping a 7-5 decision to the Broncos of Hastings College at the Space Coast Games. With the loss the Fighting Tigers open the year at 0-1 overall while the Broncos improve to 7-10 overall.
The Broncos jumped out to an early 5-1 lead after two innings and then held on for the victory as the Fighting Tigers rallied to trail 7-5 after five innings but could come no closer a key seventh inning double play ended a Cobleskill comeback effort.
