Chicopee, Mass.: The SUNY Cobleskill took to the road once again on Saturday to drop a 12-4 decision the host Blazers of Elms College in non-league action. With the loss the Fighting Tigers are now 0-2 overall on the year to date while the Blazers open their season at 1-0.

Cobleskill trailed 4-3 at the half as first-year midfielder

However, the second half was all Blazers as Elms outscored the visitors 8-1 in the half allowing Cobleskill only a late goal by junior midfielder
Albert Sippio, Syracuse, N.Y., ITC, with six seconds remaining as the home team dominated the action holding a 62-to-25 advantage in shots, a 72-to 23 advantage in ground balls and a 14-to-5 advantage in the face-off circle.
Alex Baker turned in a solid effort for the Orange & Black with a goal an assist and three ground balls while
Albert Sippio had four ground balls and four caused turnovers on the afternoon.
Defensively, first-year goalkeeper
James Meier, Guilderland, N.Y., Guilderland High School, did his best to turn back an aggressive Blazer offense recording 21 saves to go with a pair of ground balls on the afternoon.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Tuesday March 12 when they travel to Salem, Mass for a non-league meeting with the Vikings of Salem State University with face-off at 4:00 p.m.
