Buffalo, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team made the long journey to Buffalo on Tuesday afternoon to fall to the host Hawks of Hilbert College 11-10 in non-conference play in a contest played at the Nichols School's Truscott Field. With the defeat the Fighting Tigers are now 1-4 overall on the year while the Hawks move to 1-4 on the season to date.
After the two team's battled to a 4-4 tie at the end of the first quarter, the Fighting Tigers took a 6-5 lead into the locker room at the half as first-year midfielder

However, in the third quarter the Hawks scored four times to take a 9-7 lead into the fourth as the Fighting Tiger defense struggled to contain the home team throughout the stanza.
In the final quarter the Hawks continued to hold the lead despite the Fighting Tigers cutting their advantage to a single goal on three separate occasions the final time with 1:01 remaining when first-year attackman

In the net first-year goalkeeper James, Meier, Guilderland, N.Y., Guilderland High School, notched 17 saves to go with 10 ground balls on the afternoon.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Tuesday April 2 when they are scheduled to host the Wildcats of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action with face-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
