Fighting Tiger Women's Track & Field Ranked Fifth in NAC Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll


 
Waterville, Maine: The SUNY Cobleskill women's outdoor track & field team has been ranked fifth in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Pre-Outdoor Championships Coaches Poll. The Fighting Tigers will be looking to improve on their 2023 NAC Outdoor Championships fifth place finish.
 
According to Head Coach Zach Haskin the Fighting Tigers are looking forward to accomplishing big things at this year's championship meet.
 
"We're extremely excited to be hosting the event and I really believe that we have an opportunity to accomplish some big things this year. We have a much deeper team and have shown excellent improvement this season in a number of areas which should translate to more success."
 
 
The Fighting Tigers will be led by a number of performers who have posted impressive individual efforts during the year. Cobleskill will also be looking for scoring efforts in the distance events from first-year distance runner Lilianna Peters, Hinsdale, N.Y., Allegany-Limestone High School, and sophomore distance runner Alyssa Freeguard, Argyle, N.Y., Argyle High School, first-year multi-event athlete Bethanie Becker, Millers Place, N.Y., Millers Place High School, first-year sprinter Julia Aiello, Carmel, N.Y., Carmel High School, junior multi-event performer Hayleigh Girard, Hudson Falls, N.Y., Hudson Falls High School, sophomore sprinter/jumper Lilly Swyers, Peru, N.Y., Peru High School, and junior jumper/sprinter Lilah Ward, Arlington, Vt. Arlington High School.
 
The 2024 NAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted by SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28 at SUNY Oneonta's All-College Track & Field in Oneonta N.Y. beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
