Johnson, Vt.: The SUNY Cobleskill softball team closed their weekend road trip to Vermont in dominate fashion on Saturday afternoon by sweeping North Atlantic Conference (NAC) rival Vermont State University-Johnson (VTSUJ) by scores of 8-3 and 14-2. With the sweep the Fighting Tigers move to 15-13 overall on the season to date including a 9-2 record in NAC play while the Badgers are now 6-18 overall with a 2-11 conference record.
In the opener the Fighting Tigers jumped out to a 6-0 lead after four innings which gave junior hurler
Jaydaci Chamberlain, Northborough, Mass., Norfolk County Agricultural High School, all she needed as held the Badgers to two runs over seven innings on four hits striking out two and walking only one to improve to 8-2 overall on the season.
Offensively, Cobleskill received strong outings from junior shortstop

Alexis Miranda, Nashua, N.H., Nashua High School, was also 2-for-3 with a walk, a triple and two RBI in the victory.
In the second game the visitors broke open a first inning 2-2 tie by scoring the next 12 runs to decide the issue in only five innings and first-year starter
Madelynn Orosz, Seymour, Ct., Nonnewaug High School, allowed only two unearned runs on six hits striking out two and walking no one to move her record to 7-6 on the season.
