SUNY Cobleskill Men's Track & Field Places Fourth at 2024 NAC Outdoor Championships

Fighting Tiger Men's Track & Field Places Fourth at 2024 NAC Outdoor Championships


 
Oneonta, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's outdoor track & field team placed fourth overall with a team total of 63 points in a field of nine teams at the 2024 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Cobleskill at the All-College Track at SUNY Oneonta over the weekend. The Fighting Tigers brought captured three conference individual titles among their four all-conference team selections from the event.
 
Senior middle-distance runner Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, paced the Fighting Tiger attack capturing conference championships in the 800-Meter Run in a time of 1:57.87 and the 1500-Meter Run in a time of 4:00.60 establishing new league championship meet records in each event.
 
Sophomore sprinter/hurdle Charles Foote, Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, was also a NAC Champion in the 400-Meter Hurdles with a new conference meet record time of 55.85 seconds while first-year jumper Thomas Herberger, Avon, N.Y., Avon High School, placed second overall in the Triple Jump with a mark of 41'11 ¾" to earn All-NAC Second Team honors.
 
Cobleskill also received double event scoring event efforts from sophomore sprinter Jeffery Alvarado, Amsterdam, N.Y., Amsterdam High School, who placed fifth in the 100-Meter Dash in 11.49 seconds and seventh in the 200-Meter Dash in a time of 23.37 seconds while sophomore thrower Cal Marks, Wellsburg, N.Y., Elmira High School, placed fifth in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 130'8" and sixth in the Discus with a toss of 115'9".
 
The Orange & Black will next be in action when they travel to the 2024 All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by SUNY Cortland in Cortland, N.Y. on Wednesday May 15 at 2:00 p.m. and Thursday May 16 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
