Ithaca, NY: The Fighting Tigers women's indoor track and field shows out at the Robert J. Kane Invitational hosted by Cornell University on Saturday.

The distance runners got the day started in the 5000 meters with
Alyssa Freeguard (Argyle, NY) leading the Tigers with an eighth-place finish as she crossed the line at 21:09.
Gabrielle Waite (Pulaski, NY) finished in ninth with a time of 21:57.61 with teammate
Molly Repicky (Schoharie, NY) placing 10th with a time of 22:25.34. In the mile,
Gillian Miner (Saranac, NY) finished 15th with a time of 5:55.08, while
Madison Binette (Lewistown, MA) placed 17th with a time of 6:24.26.

In the 60-meter hurdles, first-year duo
Anneliese Klein (Carslie, NY/CRCS) and
Guerna Becker (Fairfield, MT) placed 21st and 42nd overall. Klein placed fourth in her heat with a time of 9.86 seconds while Becker crossed the line at 10.94 in her heat.

The Cobleskill throwers competed in the weight throw and the shot put. In the weight throw, first-year
Adira-Virginia Greer-Padilla (Fallsburg, NY) placed 20th with a throw of 11.32 (37-1 ¾).
Alyssa Abbott (Bliss, NY/Letchworth Central) led the Tigers in the shot put as she placed 21st with a toss of 9.01 (29-6 ¾), while teammate
Dory Gosselin (Whitehall, NY) finished 22nd with a distance of 8.83 (28-11 ¾).

The Tigers return to action next Saturday, February 22, as they travel to Utica University to compete in the Fast Trax Invite.
