After a month of voting and nearly 10,000 ballots cast,
Logan Thayne (Hoosick Falls, NY) has been named the 2024-25 D3SportsData Women's Basketball MVP, adding another accolade to her already decorated senior season.
Fans had the opportunity to vote once per day from February 20 through March 17, selecting from a list of 20 of the top players in NCAA Division III. Each ballot allowed for first, second, and third-place selections, with three points awarded for first, two for second, and one for third.
Thayne, a dominant force in the paint and beyond, was named NAC Player of the Year for the second straight season and earned All-Conference First Team honors for the second year in a row. She was also recently selected to the D3hoops.com Region 1 All-Region Second Team.
On the court, Thayne was a matchup nightmare, consistently delivering double-doubles and controlling the glass. She played in 28 games with 27 starts, averaging 18.0 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.7 assists per game. She shot an efficient 45.4 percent from the field, knocked down 34.5 percent of her three-point attempts, and was automatic from the free-throw line at 84.2 percent.
