Cobleskill, NY: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has named first-year hurdler
Anneliese Klein (Carlie, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) as the Fighting Tiger Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 13, 2025.Â
Klein turned in a standout performance at the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite, breaking the Cobleskill program record in the 400-meter hurdles with a winning time of 1:06.38—surpassing the previous mark of 1:07.79 set by Princess Joefield—and qualifying for the AARTFC regional championships. Klein also claimed victory in the long jump earlier in the day with a mark of 5.36 meters (17-7), earning two event titles and highlighting her impressive versatility on the track.
The Fighting Tigers return to action on Friday, April 18, as they compete in the Bobbi Palma UAlbany Spring Classic hosted at UAlbany.
