Tigers Compete at Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup

Rochester, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill women's indoor track and field team placed 12th overall at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup, hosted at the Golisano Training Center.

Cobleskill opened the meet on the track with a seventh-place finish in the 4x200-meter relay as Allison Merle (Holley, NY), Bethanie Becker (Millers Place, NY), Trinity Grant (Albany, NY), and Anneliese Klein (Carlisle, NY) combined for a time of 1:57.74.

The Tigers were active in the 60-meter hurdles, led by Klein, who placed 10th overall after clocking a time of 9.99 seconds. Grant followed with a 15th-place finish at 10.20 seconds, while Merle crossed the line in 10.43 seconds to place 20th. Becker rounded out the group with a time of 10.56 seconds, finishing 27th.

In the 60-meter dash, Emely Limas (Bronx, NY) placed 41st with a time of 9.92 seconds, while Kayla Williams Ham (Queens, NY) followed closely behind in 42nd after crossing the line in 9.94 seconds.

Cobleskill saw multiple competitors in the distance events, with Gillian Miner (Saranac, NY) finishing 36th in the mile at 6:22.50 and Madison Binette (Lewiston, Me) placing 38th with a time of 6:31.68. Gabrielle Waite (Pulaski, NY) represented the Tigers in the 3,000 meters, placing 22nd overall with a time of 11:28.05.

The throws group delivered steady performances for Cobleskill. In the shot put, Adira-Virginia Greer-Padilla (Fallsburg, NY) led the Tigers with a 22nd-place finish after a throw of 9.48 meters (31-1¼). Sidney Glover (Cincinnatus, NY) followed in 26th with a mark of 9.32 meters (30-7), while Dory Gosselin (Whitehall, NY) placed 28th at 9.11 meters (29-10¾).

In the weight throw, Gosselin posted a 16th-place finish with a toss of 12.54 meters (41-1¾). Glover added a 20th-place result, while Greer-Padilla placed 23rd with a throw of 11.28 meters (37-0¼).

Cobleskill closed the meet in the field events, highlighted by Klein's sixth-place finish in the long jump. Klein recorded a top-six mark of 5.01 meters (16-5¼) in a field of 27 competitors. Becker also competed in the event, placing 13th with a leap of 4.63 meters (15-2¼).
