Waterville, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has named SUNY Cobleskill Ag & Tech freshman Sammy Fausti (Clayton, WA) the NAC Softball Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 19, 2026.

Fausti had a strong week at the plate, batting .467 with a .600 slugging percentage as Cobleskill went 3-2 overall and 2-0 in NAC play. She recorded seven hits, including a triple, drove in two runs, and scored nine times, consistently creating scoring opportunities for the Fighting Tigers. Fausti also drew three walks while striking out just once, finishing the week with a .556 on-base percentage.

Defensively, Fausti contributed at both shortstop and right field, recording eight putouts and two assists while posting a .909 fielding percentage.

This marks the second time Fausti has picked up Rookie of the Week honors this season.
