SUNY Cobleskill Western Equestrian Opens Season at Morrisville State

Fighting Tigers Take 2nd Place & Tie for 1st Place at Morrisville State Shows

Morrisville, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill western equestrian opened the season over the weekend placing second and tying for first in a pair Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Zone 2 Region 3 Shows hosted Morrisville State at the Morrisville State Equestrian Center to open the 2019-20 season.

The Fighting Tigers scored 23 points in opening show to place second in the field of three teams finishing behind the host Mustangs and ahead of the Colgate University. In the nightcap, Cobleskill tied Morrisville State 26-26.

Fighting Tiger senior Baylee Reader, Rome, N.Y., Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School, was the Reserve High Point Rider in the first show for the Orange & Black with second place finish in Reining and a third place finish in Open Western Horsemanship.

Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday November 16^th when they travel to Morrisville State College in Morrisville, N.Y. for a pair of IHSA Zone 2 Region 3 events beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Morrisville State Equestrian Center.
