Waterville, Maine: The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill's
Ethan Straub, Oswego, N.Y., Hannibal High School/Jefferson Community College has been named to the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team by the league's coaches.
In his first year of intercollegiate goal, Straub was the Fighting Tigers number one player throughout the campaign earning NAC Player-of-the-Week honors once and NAC Rookie-of-the-Week honors twice during the fall season.
Straub's regular season was highlighted by his win at the 2021 Sage College Fall Invitational hosted by the Gators at the par 72/7000-yard Colonie Golf & Country Club in Voorheesville, N.Y. on September 11 when he shot a three-over par score of 75 to take the title. The Oswego, N.Y. was also Cobleskill's top finisher at the 2021 NAC Championship Tournament hosted by SUNY Delhi at the par 71/6471-yard The College Course at Delhi in Delhi, N.Y. on October 10 and 11 posting rounds of 84 and 75 for a two-day total of 17-over par 159 to place 12
th overall at the event.
Straub's selection to the Sportsmanship Team drew high praise for Cobleskill Head Coach

"Ethan demonstrated all year not only is he a great golfer, but that he is also a great person. Though a newcomer himself, he took on and thrived as a leader on our team."
Straub is a two-sport performer for the Fighting Tigers as he also pitches for the Cobleskill baseball team in the spring having posted a 1-1 overall record with two saves and a 4.76 ERA in six appearances last season. Â
