House Records Program-Best Fifth Place Finish at NAC Golf Championship

Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill men's golf team capped off an impressive season with a fifth-place finish at the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Golf Championship, hosted at the Cobleskill Golf and Country Club. The Fighting Tigers posted a team total of 659 (+99) over the two-day event, led by a record-setting performance from senior Joshua House.

House (Saratoga Springs, NY) finished fifth overall in the 39-player field, marking the best individual result in program history at the NAC Championship. The veteran standout fired rounds of 74 (+4) and 78 (+8) for a total of 152 (+12). His final round featured two birdies on the front nine—on holes six and nine—and eight pars. Across the weekend, House totaled three birdies and 20 pars, finishing just two strokes out of third place. With the performance, he became the first Fighting Tiger in program history to earn First Team All-NAC honors.

Sophomore Benjamin Casola (Oneonta, NY) delivered a strong second day, climbing six spots on the leaderboard to finish 19th overall. Casola carded an 82 (+12) on Sunday after an 85 (+15) on Saturday for a two-day total of 167 (+27). He found his rhythm early in round two, rolling in back-to-back birdies on holes four and five.

In his NAC Championship debut, James Longwell (Little Falls, NY) tied for 23rd with rounds of 82 (+12) and 89 (+19) for a 171 (+31) total. Longwell's round featured six pars on the front nine and a birdie on the par-four 10th. Fellow first-year competitor Bruno Groth (Andover, NJ) finished close behind in 25th place with rounds of 84 (+14) and 88 (+18) for a 172 (+32) total. His final round included a birdie on a par-four and two additional pars.

Isaac Walker (Roxbury, NY) rounded out the Cobleskill lineup, finishing tied for 27th after improving his score by four strokes on day two. Walker shot rounds of 90 (+20) and 86 (+16) for a total of 176 (+36), highlighted by seven pars in his final round.

The Fighting Tigers finished fifth overall in the team standings, just six strokes shy of fourth place.
