Fighting Tigers End Five-Game Losing Streak With 3-0 Win Over Paul Smiths

Paul Smiths, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team headed north on Tuesday evening to break into the win column and end a five-game season opening losing streak by posting a 3-0 decision over the host Bobcats of Paul Smith's College in non-league action. With the victory the Fighting Tigers are now 1-5 overall on the season while the Bobcats fall to 2-4 on the year. 

The Fighting Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead and never looked back as the Cobleskill defense stifled the Bobcats throughout the evening as first-year goalkeeper Wyatt Reed, Stockbridge, N.Y., Stockbridge High School, needed to make only two saves on the evening.  

The Cobleskill offense was led by the first-year forward Mike Masocco, Eden, N.Y., Eden Junior/Senior High School, who tallied twice on the night and by junior forward Tanner Reisman, Youngstown, N.Y., Lewiston-Porter High School, who had a goal and an assist in the victory. Junior midfielder Jeremy Rossi, Westport, N.Y., Westport High School, and first-year defender Tyler Cinamon,, Oceanside, N.Y., Oceanside High School, also played a role in the win with each contributed an assist for the Orange & Black. 

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Saturday September 25 when they host the Beavers of Maine-Farmington in the Orange & Black's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opening contest with kick-off set for 2:00 p.m.
