SUNY Cobleskill Men's Soccer Loses 2-1 NAC Contest to Maine-Farmington

Fighting Tigers Fall to Maine Farmington Beavers 2-1 in NAC Action

Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team returned home on Saturday afternoon to drop a hard-fought decision to the visiting Beavers of Maine Farmington by a 2-1 margin in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest. With the loss the Fighting Tigers drop to 1-6 overall including a 0-2 record in league action while the Beavers are now 5-1 overall with a 2-1 record in NAC play.

Junior forward Tanner Reisman, Youngstown, N.Y., Lewsiton-Porter High School, scored the Fighting Tiger goal in the 14th minute on an assist by junior midfielder Jeremy Rossi, Westport, N.Y., Westport High School.

Cobleskill junior goalkeeper John Gergen, Greenville, N.Y., Greenville High School, continued his strong play in net with 10 saves and a number of defensive plays in the box for the home team.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Sunday, September 26, when they host the Hornets of Northern Vermont University-Johnson for a conference contest beginning at 12:00 p.m.
