Fighting Tiger Men's Indoor Track & Field Places 10th at Utica College Blue & Orange Invite

Brado & Logan Lead Fighting Tigers to 10th Place at Utica College Meet


Utica, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's indoor track & field team posted a score of 21 points to place 10th overall in a field of 16 teamsĀ on Saturday at the Blue & Orange Invite hosted by the Pioneers of Utica College at the Pioneer's Bill and Jennifer Hutton Sports Dome. The Fighting Tigers posted scoring efforts in three individual events with three NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championship qualifying efforts.

Senior high jumper Tyler Brado, St. Johnsville, N.Y., Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville High School, was the team's top finisher at the event capturing the high jump with a leap of 6'4 ¾".

The Fighting Tiger distance running corps also turned in an exceptional showing at the event as sophomore Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, turned in a pair of regional qualifying efforts on the afternoon placing second overall in the mile run with a time of 4:23.43 and eighth overall in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:39.80. First-year distance runner Eamonn Sullivan, Fordham Preparatory School, also met the regional qualifying standard in the 3000-meter run finishing 12th overall in a time of 8:45.27.

Cobleskill will next be in action when they return to Utica, N.Y. on Saturday February 5 and Sunday February 6 for the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Utica College at the Bill and Jennifer Hutton Sports Dome beginning at 10:00 a.m.
