SUNY Cobleskill Men's Track & Field Team Places Fourth at 2022 NAC Outdoor Championship Meet

Brado & Sullivan Lead Fighting Tigers to Fourth Place Finish at NAC Outdoor Championships


Delhi, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's track & field team posted a total of 88 points to place fourth in a six-team field at the 2022 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by SUNY Delhi over the weekend. The Fighting Tigers brought home five All-Conference efforts from the championship event.

Senior jumper/hurdler Tyler Brado, St. Johnsville, N.Y., Oppenheim-Ephrata-St. Johnsville High School, led the way for the Fighting Tigers winning three events on the day: winning the high jump clearing a height of 6'4", taking the 400-meter hurdles in 57.39 seconds, winning the 110-meter hurdles in 16.0 seconds while first year distance runner Eamonn Sullivan, Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Fordham Preparatory School, won the 3000-meter steeplechase in 10:02.25 then came back to take the 5000-meter run in a time of 15:44.30.

Cobleskill received multiple scoring efforts in the distance and mid-distance events from senior Dillon VanDemortel, Newark, N.Y., Newark High School, who finished third in the 1500-meter run in 4:09.73 and fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:00.27, with sophomore Nick Logan, Queensbury, N.Y., Queensbury High School, taking fourth in the 1500-meter run in 4:10.91 and seventh in the 800-meter run in 2:05.36 while junior Tucker Skowyra, Hardwick, Mass., Quabbin Regional High School, who placed eighth overall in the 800-meters in 2:07.71. First year distance runner Shane Viscosi, Fultonville, N.Y., Fonda-Fultonville High School, was also a factor in the meet finishing third in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:44.57.

In the field the Orange & Black received scoring efforts from first year jumper Gonyzer Foster, Bay Shore, N.Y., Bay Shore High School, who finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 20'2 ¾" and fifth in the triple jump going 40'3" and from first year thrower Kyle Shambo, Jay, N.Y., Keene Valley High School, in the who placed seventh in the discus with a toss of 76' 3 ½".

The Fighting Tigers are next scheduled to be in action while qualified athletes will compete at the 2022 All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Track & Field Championships (AARTFC) hosted by Moravian College on Wednesday May 18 and Thursday May 19 in Bethlehem, Pa.
