Waterville, Maine: The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill women's soccer team member, first-year forward Ashlynn DeRonda, Saugerties, N.Y., Saugerties High School, has been named the league's Rookie-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday September 4. The Saugerties native becomes the first Fighting Tiger women's soccer team member to earn NAC Rookie-of-the-Week honors in program history.

DeRonda scored a pair of goals in the team's 5-2 non-conference road win over Wells College in Aurora, N.Y. on Sunday afternoon to even the team's record at 1-1 overall on the year.

In two contests this year the Saugerties High School alumnus has scored two goals including a game winner.

Cobleskill will next be in action at home on Saturday September 10 when they host the Panthers of Purchase College with kick-off at 3:00 p.m.
