Waterville, Maine: The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced today that SUNY Cobleskill defenseman
Jarrett Helgerson, Southampton, N.Y., Southampton High School, has been named the NAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week for the week ending Sunday March 5, 2003.
The 6'3" 250 lbs. defenseman anchored the Fighting Tigers' defense in the team's 16-7 season opening road victory over the host Highlanders causing five turnovers and picking up nine groundballs in the victory as Cobleskill opened the year 1-0 overall.
Cobleskill will return to action on Saturday March 11 when they travel to North Quincy, Mass to meet the Lions of Eastern Nazarene College at Creedon Field for a non-conference contest beginning at 2:00 p.m.
