Albany, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer team broke into the win column on Wednesday evening ending their season opening three-game losing streak by defeating the host Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton-Albany by a 3-1 margin in a non-conference game played at the Afrims Sports Park. With the victory the Fighting Tigers improve to 1-3 overall while the Bobcats fall to 0-4 on the year to date.

The Bobcats scored a minute later to tie the contest at 1-1 which is where it stayed as the teams went into the break.
Cobleskill then took the lead for good with a goal in the 46
th minute of action as first-year midfielder
Trenton Cole, South Kortright, N.Y., South Kortright High School, converted off a pass from junior forward
Conor Flanigan, Troy, N.Y., Troy High School, to make it 2-1 in favor of the visitors.
The Fighting Tigers then added an insurance goal in the 88
th minute off the foot of junior defender

First-year goalkeeper
Adam Champlin, South Kortright, N.Y., South Kortright High School, recorded his first career victory in net for the Orange & Black making a season high of 10 saves on the evening.
Cobleskill will next be in action on Saturday September 16 when they travel to Quincy, Mass to meet the Lions of Eastern Nazarene College in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener for both teams with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
