Chicopee, MA: The SUNY Cobleskill men's golf team finished the first round of the 2024 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship in third place with a total score of 327 at Chicopee Country Club in Chicopee, MA. The Tigers are currently trailing Husson University (+18/302) and SUNY Delhi (+27/311) heading into the final round.
Leading the charge for Cobleskill are
Isaac Walker (Roxbury, NY) and
Joshua House (Saratoga, NY), both tied for seventh place after shooting rounds of 77. Walker and House's consistent play kept the Tigers within striking distance of the leaders, setting the stage for a competitive second day. House finished the round with 11 pars and one birdie while Walker recorded 10 pars.
Jacob Morris (Norwich, NY) also contributed a solid performance, tying for 10th with a score of 79 with two birdies during the round.
Rounding out the team,
Leo Rosenstadt (Westchester, NY) finished with a score of 94, placing him in 32nd, while
Benjamin Casola (Oneonta, NY) shot a 101 to finish in 38th overall.
Cobleskill will look to improve its standing as the championship starts tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at the Chicopee Country Club.
