Waterville, ME: SUNY Cobleskill men's soccer goalkeeper
Adam Champlin (South Kortright, NY) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player of the Week for his stellar efforts in goal over the weekend.
Champlin was unbeaten during the week, going 1-0-1 in NAC play, including a 3-0 shutout victory over VTSU-Lyndon. The second-year goalkeeper posted an impressive .929 save percentage with seven saves and a 0.5 goals-against average. In a 1-1 draw against VTSU-Johnson, Champlin recorded six saves, finishing with a .857 save percentage over 90 minutes.
The South Kortright native is currently second in the conference in both total saves (99) and saves per game (7.07) across 14 appearances. He also ranks sixth in the league with a 2.11 goals-against average.
The Fighting Tigers return to action this Saturday, October 26, as they host SUNY Delhi at 1:00 p.m. at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.
