Waterville, Maine: The SUNY Cobleskill men's lacrosse team has been ranked seventh overall in the opening 2024 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Pre-Season Coaches Poll. The Fighting Tigers are coming off a 2023 season that saw them post an 8-5 overall record including a 3-5 mark in NAC action.
This season Cobleskill will have six returning veterans on the roster who according to Coach Valachovic will have to step up as this year's version of the Fighting Tigers will feature 12 new players on the squad.
"Even though we are relatively young with a lot of new people, we are coming together rather quickly. This is going to be a young team but I'm excited to see them grow together and develop over the course of the season."
The Fighting Tigers are scheduled to open the season on Saturday February 24 when they travel to La Plume, Pa. for a non-conference meeting with Giants of Keystone College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
