Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Andrew Jarkow, Glen Head, N.Y., North Shore High School, a member of the baseball team has been named the athletic program's Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending April 7, 2024.
 
In two starts this week versus SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons on Monday and SUNY Canton Kangaroos on Sunday the Fighting Tiger right hander went 1-0 posting a no decision versus the Red Dragons then coming back to pitch a complete game win over the Kangaroos.
 
For the week, Jarkow allowed only one earned run in 12 innings of work for a 0.75 ERA striking out 10 batters while allowing only one walk.
 
This season in six appearances the Glen Head, N.Y., native has posted a 1-2 overall record in six starts, with one complete game, while in 31 innings of work this season has posted a 5.52 ERA striking out 25 while walking 11.
 
The Fighting Tigers are next scheduled to be in action on Wednesday April 10, weather permitting, when they host the Red Dragons of SUNY Oneonta for a single non-conference game at Fighting Tiger Field beginning at 4:00 p.m.
